Well this week was a pretty normal week. I love being here. There's so
much work to do! This week i had another first! my first car accident:)
haha very fun. not really cause we were with an inactive member. but it
was very tiny. we actually helped him buy his car about a month ago.
Anyway this week i also had my 100th day. On Saturday we had a member of
the 70, Elder Vilobos come and talk with us all day. That was really
cool. We did this thing where we practice contacting in the streets, and
during a practice they over heard me and were like that's good so they
asked me to practice in front of my president and the elder, and i
totally froze. ugh! haha but its ok:) Then that night he had a meeting
with all the ward council and their missionaries. He did this with all
the zones in the mission because our mission is the smallest in the
world other then temple square, yet we have over 12000 inactive
members, 700 in my ward alone. So during this conference he wanted some
people to ask their conversion stories. He did not expect what happened
next. Every single person was a convert except for about 6 of the 100
plus people. These are the bishops and counselors, relief society
presidents and so on. So for the next 2 hours we heard every single
persons conversion story. It was amazing. There's power in these stories, because for a person to become converted to the gospel, it takes the
spirit. We all need the spirit, because we are all converts, no one was
born converted to the gospel. It takes work, and it takes obedience to
the commandments. This week i had a pretty neat experience with one of
the inactives we teach. Shes really sick and in the hospital a lot. As
we were about to teach i had this really weird feeling, and i didn't
think i was going to be able to speak.I couldn't understand this feeling.
So i prayed and i asked so hard for the Lord to put words into my mouth
and he did. I was sharing scriptures i didn't even think i would share,
and i was speaking with clarity. Not because I'm a good teacher or
speaker, but i was able to harness the spirit in a way I've never done
so before. I honestly love this gospel. It is the gospel of Jesus
Christ. When we pray in faith, nothing wavering we will receive an
answer. Sometimes it may not be the answer we want to hear, but i
promise that God knows us better then we know ourselves. Please harken
unto him. I want to live with all of you after this life, and i love you
all and thats why i want you all to know how important this gospel is!
its the most important thing in your life, and if feel this way about
you imagine how your Father in Heaven feels about you. He loves you.
Endure to the end, and you WILL inherit the kingdom of God. I love you
all!
